Getting XDCC list and XDCC sends easily

To get an xdcc listing from a bot without typing, first, press alt-p.

New: (09/01/03) I think in mIRC 6.1 alt-p won't work anymore, try alt-r and click on "popups" instead of alt-p if it doesn't work.

Then, click on "View" (next to File and Edit) and select "Nick List" if it is not already selected.

Now, in the new bigggggg white text box, go to the first line, and press enter, (making a new line)

Or, if you are a little more experienced with scripts, find the place you want to put this button on, and make a new line there.

Now, put this in the new line: XDCC List: { /ctcp $$snicks xdcc list }

To use this, right click a nickname, and click on "XDCC List". This will automatically /ctcp that nickname "xdcc list". I purposely put ctcp instead of msg, because it works the same and it won't bother people that aren't bots as much.

You can select multiple nicks for this, so go ahead and get the listing for as many bots as you want at a time. But, be careful not to flood off by listing too many at once.

Now, for the xdcc send part.

Put this in the new line: XDCC Send: { /ctcp $$snicks xdcc send $chr(35) $+ $$?="Enter Pack No." }

Now, right click a nickname and click on "XDCC Send". It will then prompt you for a pack #, so enter a number and it will send that pack.

Tip of the day:
Nick alert in mIRC: Go to options -> IRC -> Highlight. You can add words that will activate a sound/flash the window/highlight the message when someone says them. If it doesn't work as well as you feel it should, try looking into nick alert scripts. Valid HTML 4.01! Valid CSS!
